A True Hero: Cash's Story

When a pack of dogs attacked his pasture mate, Cash stepped in without hesitation, and nearly paid the ultimate price for it.

Meet Cash.

Meet Cash, a retired American Saddlebred show horse enjoying his well-earned turnout time. When a pack of aggressive dogs got loose and found Cash and his young pasture mate, Cash didn't hesitate. He stepped between the attack and his frightened companion, taking the brunt of the ambush himself.

Cash's owner and nearby neighbors rushed to the horses' aid, but Cash had already sustained severe lacerations and deep wounds from the attack. For a time, it was uncertain whether he would survive. His veterinarian later confirmed the wounds came within millimeters of causing irreparable damage. After several days of hospital care, Cash came home with a strict regimen of pain management, antibiotics, and meticulous wound care, all of it tended to daily by his devoted owner.

Even with dedicated care, healing was slow, until Cash's owner reached out to local friend and EquiSol™ founder Jackie Jolie. Given the unusual placement of Cash's wounds, mostly around his neck, Jackie recommended the EquiSol™ Red Light Therapy Leg Wraps for their flexibility, a solution that could wrap and adapt to an area the standard equipment wasn't designed for.

With consistent daily red light therapy sessions over the following weeks, Cash's recovery took a remarkable turn. His wounds began healing at a pace that surprised his owner and barn mates alike.
